Whether you visit us on Merivale or Beechwood, you receive the exact same commitment to neighborhood-focused, family-friendly care.

Advanced Laser Dentistry

Q: What is laser dentistry and what technology do you use?

A: As a first-of-its-kind feature in Ottawa, we use the advanced LightWalker II laser system (incorporating Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths) to deliver precision dental care with minimal discomfort, faster healing, and less need for conventional drills or scalpels. Click here to learn more.

Q: Can cavities be treated without a drill or freezing?

A: Yes! Using Er:YAG laser energy, we can remove tooth decay with pinpoint accuracy while preserving more healthy tooth structure. It eliminates annoying drill vibration and heat, and many patients find it requires little to no anesthesia/freezing.

Q: How does laser-assisted root canal therapy work?

A: Our TwinLight® Endodontic Treatment protocol uses laser energy to disinfect the root canal system far more thoroughly than traditional instruments alone, reaching microscopic areas to lower the risk of reinfection while ensuring a more comfortable experience.

Q: What is LAPT (Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy)?

A: LAPT uses dual-wavelength laser precision to selectively target and remove diseased gum tissue, decontaminate periodontal pockets, and stimulate natural tissue regeneration—all without the need for scalpels, stitches, or painful conventional gum surgery.

Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

Q: What is the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

A: The CDCP is a federal government initiative structured to help eligible Canadian residents pay for essential oral health care services if they lack private insurance coverage.

Q: Who is eligible for the CDCP?

A: You may qualify if you reside in Canada, filed taxes for the previous year, have an adjusted family net income under $90,000, and do not have access to private dental insurance.

Q: How much does the CDCP cover?

A: Coverage depends on your income tier: under $70,000 (100% covered); $70,000 to $79,999 (60% covered); and $80,000 to $89,999 (40% covered). Patients are responsible for any co-payments or fees exceeding established program rates.
